City of Lancaster
Lancaster is a suburb of Dallas and is part of the Best Southwest area, which includes Lancaster, Cedar Hill, DeSoto, and Duncanville.

Located in Southwest Dallas County, just 15 minutes from downtown Dallas nestled in the convergence of three interstate highways, IH-20, IH-35 and IH-45, Lancaster offers a setting with picturesque hills, abundant creeks, trees and a rich historical heritage. Settled in 1852 as a trading post, Lancaster’s town square retains the look and feel of a 19th century North Texas market place with the complete offerings and conveniences of the 21st century.
Lancaster is fast becoming the region’s newest logistics center with development of the Dallas Logistics Hub, a 6,600 acre project utilizing the easy access of major interstate highways, rail systems and general aviation airport. This project will create new jobs making Lancaster a prime employment center.
